Armand Gachet is a multi-disciplinary artist and has been doing art ever since he could pick up a pencil. Born in Mauritius in 1975, he was raised in South Africa then traveled the world as a monk and volunteering in India and central asia for a couple of years before he settled back in Mauritius.
To make a living, he spent around 20 years working in the corporate and advertising world as a creative/art director and designer. A few years back he gave up all this to live as an artist. He never stopped his art and alongside his company of design, he did some exhibitions and regularly accepted commissioned work of arts namely, murals, paintings, sculptures, live art, festival decors, up-cycling projects, architecture and construction amongst others. His thirst for new challenges brought him to a variety of different mediums, formats, techniques and materials and helped him grow in experience and creativity.
At present, he leads a team of artists and craftsmen that build large structural sculptures and other creative solutions for the theme park industry. He also continues to create murals in private or public areas as this will always remain his favourite.
