Gabriel Miranda Byrro

Gabriel Miranda is a Brazilia-American photographer and multi-media artist originally from Rio de Janeiro and currently residing in Queens, New York. He is currently attending his third year at the School of Visual Arts' Photography & Video department. Gabriel has been taking photographs since he was fourteen years old and has since experimented with genres such as digital photo-collages, documentary photography and fine art. Currently he is building a body of work that mixes aspects from both photography and painting, using every-day materials to express mind-states and social commentary and try to expand the boundaries of these mediums.Gabriel has had his work shown in multiple group and solo exhibitions in Brazil and the United States.
