After studying modern literature, Blanche Franssen trained in art at the Roederer workshop, in Paris. She entered ESMOD school where she learnt the profession of textile designer. She won the 1st prize from the jury chaired by Emmanuel Ungaro.
In Paris, she joined the studio of Paul Hargittai, Prix de Rome, continued her training there for two years and created textile designs for fashion, haute couture and furnishings.
She traveled regularly to India where she designed fabric collections.
She then took part in the management of a publishing house.
For years, she has collected pieces of fabric, wallpaper from the 18th century to the present day and mirrors...
Her photographic works are based on shots of her reflection in mirrors that she has previously altered, and recomposed from drawings, collages of fabrics and old papers.
Her first exhibition, "Inner mirrors", was held from September 15 to 18, 2022 at the Hôtel de l'Industrie, place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in Paris.
