Sandy
Flinto was born in Luxembourg in 1983 and graduated from the Academy of
Fine Arts in Ravenna with a degree in visual and performing arts. She
then continued her artistic formation by completing her training at the
Laboratoire de théâtre physique (LFPT) in Paris.Pierrick
Grobéty was born in Switzerland and grew up in Rwanda. He began his
career playing the drums and then trained in music direction and
performance, sound design and composition. He concentrates not just on
the music but more on the sound environment, and in so doing considers
not only sound but space. His work is based on sound and its complex
dramaturgy. Working
together since 2012, Sandy Flinto and Pierrick Grobéty have numerous
projects to their name, ranging from installation, video, performance,
theatre and contemporary dance.Known
for being game-changers, their work closely scrutinises contemporary
society and its various components, placing particular emphasis on the
excessive provocation that comes from media, information sources, the
influences and multiple beliefs on which it is based. Their work
is meant to be thought-provoking, to question our values and take up its
position in a world challenged by information overload.
