I was born in Milan, when I was nine, I moved to Sicily, and this had a profound impact on me.

The colours, the light and the warmth of the people have shaped my personality ever since and have certainly influenced my art.

The underlying theme of my life is to look beyond appearances: a keen interest in psychoanalysis, my degree thesis on the ‘female page’ in Shakespeare, my diploma in graphology, my participation in seminars led by Greta Seacat (Actors Studio).

All of this led to a search for expression through abstract and gestural painting.

My paiting stems from a connection to an emotion - sparked by a circumstance, person or event - that holds a profund, not-conceptual significance representing my truth.

The gesture connects to the creative flow, emerging spontaneously and vitally.

The process is rapid and intuitive.
