Giuseppe is an Australian/Italian artist that has
been creating artworks for over 40 years, originally from Eastern suburbs of
Melbourne and migrating to the Western fringe of Brisbane. Stemming from proud
Italian family and heritage that he is closely tied to. With a passion for all things Italian and if
you ever get to visit his house, or drive in his car you will see this.
He studied the Old Masters all of his life. Then in 1999 he graduated from a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art),at Monash University, Vic. He then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma of Education (Visual Arts) at Monash University, Vic. And finally in 2009 he completed a Master of Arts (Research), Creative Industries, Queensland University of Technology, QLD.
His art is
akin to social commentary, expressing experiences in different ways. Deeply concerned
with worldly, immediate social and physical environments, has a passion for activism
and heart for social justice.
Practices upcycling
and recycling waste materials in his work and his house. His work consists of sculptures, paintings,
installation, video, public art and drawings.
An educator with the Dept Education Qld and Education Victoria. He has also worked lecturing and tutoring in
other institutions such as at USQ, QUT, La Trobe University and the Sunraysia
Institute of TAFE.
