"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever", Gandhi.
I grew up in the smallest and farthest town of Gran Canaria and I spent three years of my childhood in Mexico. As a kid, ART was all I wanted to do: handicrafts, paper bikinis, painting pebbles, collages, avant-garde abstract and surrealist art. Suffered for years perfectionism, what took me to fall into Anorexia Nervosa for almost 10 years during high school and university. In the meanwhile, I successfully graduated in M.S. of Architecture and had some moments when my life hit rock bottom, experiences that taught me which are the important things in life and how tricky and complex can be human mental health. These moments were when the shift within my mindset started.
Nowadays, through my different experiences in life, I feel reborn, with proper values and priorities in life, I'm aiming to keep doing mistakes in order to learn day by day something new. My period abroad has helped me to unleash my potential, to heal my soul, mind and body and most importantly, to bring wonderful people to my life.
Some curiosities about me...
# My artistic approach?
It is a mixture of those previous references, architecture, urbanism, brutalism, nature, people, psychology, unconscious, subconscious mind and science.
# My current values?
authenticity, contribution and innovation
# Keys to change/ grow?
Self-knowledge, awareness, out of comfort zone, getting rid of perfectionism and social domestication (thinking out of the box)
# My purpose in life?
to help people to reach their happiness and well-being, unleashing their potential and providing a first and immediate scale (the interior space) where they can feel comfortable and also identify it with their present and future selves. I understand the interior design/space as a scale that contains the human complexity of the person that inhabits it and the cultural intricacy of the place where it is located.
# My vision?
to become a multidisciplinary creator who´s able to explore her different means of expression to transmit her message and help to improve other's lives and ultimately, the world.
