Fabio Bix - cre-active / Writer and Artist
I chose to be born in ’69 (an evocative number…) in Brescia, Italy.
I take things quite calmly (I am sloooowww): it took me over 30 years to become a child… again.
I began transforming common objects into art pieces.
In shoes, I discovered faces: the “Shoes Art” project.
With (expired) pasta I cooked designs that I would not have been able to create with a pen: the “Pasta-Asciutta”project.
With poker cards, I touched the peaks of illusionism: “c’Arte da Gioco”project.
In the photography project “Voloaraso” I highlighted a cosmology of figurative elements seen in the litter found sitting on the sidewalks of the city.
Finally it’s been three years I’ve been sculpting paper napkins which, as a close up, look like monumental statues.
How I can best define myself is as “a sculptor of ideas”.
Play and irony are distinct characteristics in all my work. I have exhibited in galleries and museums though you’ll more likely to find me in a pub.
