Paola Esposito
was born in Adria (RO) on 16 September 1966.
She graduated at
Liceo Artistico Frattini - Varese.
She specialized
in modeling techniques with the sculptor Marco Zanzottera and in marble
processing with the sculptor Ignazio Campagna.
She attended
modeling and ceramic decoration at Cova School in Milan.
She started as
painter and then moved to sculpture with which she definitively affirms her
aesthetics.
Her works
expresse themselves with consistent volumes and concrete plasticity. Clay is
the medium through which she reduces her discretion, while consistency requires
her to express herself by giving form to feelings trough which her works are
charging with power.
Having used thermoplastic
polymeric material (plexiglas) in light design applications, recently she has
decided to combine it with sculptures, creating glazes with the purpose of
emphasizing the meaning of the work itself.
In the period 2016-2018
she participated in Combat Prize, Livorno; in Arte Prize, Milan; in Laguna Prize, Venice, in Luxembourg Art
Prize.
In 2019 she
began a collaboration with the curator Art Manager Loredana Trestin, Artistic
Director at CAD Divulgarti-creation_art_design, that led her to participate in
the collective "Prova d'Autore" at Palazzo Saluzzo in Genoa and in
October 2019 in a bi-personal exhibition at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa.
With the work
Doppelgänger she was selected for the Premio Arte 2019 in Milan.
