Daniela
Evangelisti was born in Aosta, Italy. She lives and works in Verres, a small
town located at the entrance of the Ayas Valley.
Her urge to create comes from a fascination for
ancient fabrics, for raw hemp fabrics and for linen. The reworked and
fragmented texture of the fabric has become a material with which I try to
express concepts relating to feminine life of the past and present. The
legacy of women in the past is thus re-connected with the threads of the
present.
Since 2013 she has been collaborating with Evvivanoe
Gallery in Torino, and has been showing her work at some of the most important
exhibitions and fairs throughout Italy including Fiber Art in Parma and at
Palazzo Opesso in Chieri.
She also
participated in the Affordable Art Fair as well as Fuori Salone in Milan.
Ms. Evangelisti
has displayed her art in multiple personal, and collective exhibitions at
prestigious art galleries and contemporary art museums such as:Â Palazzo
Salmatoris ( Cherasco), Banca del Vino in Pollenzo (Cuneo), L?Castel Casa Forte
in Pont St. Martin (Aosta), Hotel NHow (Milano).
