Phoebe Eddleston is a French-Irish artist, urbanist and poet living in Paris, who seeks to reveal through her work the beauty, poetry and adventure of everyday life. Through mapping, video and collage, Phoebe creates pieces that tell the story of the real and imagined time-spaces that we inhabit in our day-to-day lives. Her reflections revolve around the representation of the city and urban spaces in literature and film, the appropriation of public space by city dwellers, and the complexity of urban and rural landscapes. After studying European languages and cultures, which reinforced her interest in art and literature, Phoebe switched to urban design and planning. She developed an architectural and landscape sensitivity, learning to visually represent varied and surprising environments. Phoebe now works as a researcher and cartographer for the Parisian urban design and architecture agency TVK and develops her artistic activity in parallel.
A multidisciplinary artist seeking to uncover the the beauty, poetry and adventure of everyday life.
