Diana Dzene is an artist from Latvia. She has studied painting with acclaimed artists at the Latvian Academy of Arts, University of the Arts in London – Central Saint Martins, Art Student League of New York, and an apprenticeship with Valery Baida, a member of the Artists Trade Union of Russia. Diana gained experience at group and solo exhibitions across Europe and New York. She was selected as a national representative of Latvia at the London Art Biennale 2021 with "Green chair with a view " oil painting, sold at the same exhibition. Diana's choice is oil paints on canvas, and her subject of painting is curiosity and kindness, being attracted to ideas and pursuits of Renaissance in a redesigned thinking. The ever-changing state of knowledge, driven by a curiosity about existence and feelings, provides a dynamically flowing fabric to the thought - most often portrayed as water in Diana’s artworks. Her works are often based on elaborate research of the topic, exploring the reason and past findings, and adding new dimensions to it. Diana’s artworks are at the homes of art lovers and collectors from the US, the UK, Latvia, Italy, the Middle East, and more.
