Rooted in the rich history of textile making while embracing contemporary art & design, Dyks combines artisanal weaving methods with a research-driven approach to materials. Her practice investigates the expressive potential of fibers, structure, and color, resulting in tactile compositions that blur the boundaries between textile, sculpture, and spatial installation.
After graduating from the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague, Dyks quickly established an international presence. Her work has been presented at leading art fairs and design events including PAD London, India Art Fair, Zona Maco, Enter Art Fair, Art Rotterdam, Dutch Design Week, and Downtown Design Dubai. She has also exhibited in museums, galleries, and cultural institutions across Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia.
Dyks' work has been acquired for private and corporate collections and is recognized for its combination of technical precision, poetic expression, and material sensitivity. Through each woven surface, she explores themes of identity, memory, and the dialogue between tradition and innovation, creating works that encourage viewers to slow down and engage with the tactile qualities of the handmade.
