Carey Duncan is a South African landscape architect living and working in Morocco. Born in Zimbabwe, she has concentrated her work on the African continent. Over a career spanning 30 years, she has recently moved towards symbolic work involving land art and sculptural manipulation of earth forms and landscape works in general.
Passionate about the value of Landscape, Carey works actively with the International Federation of Landscape Architects and is immediate past president of its Africa region. She is a proponent of the idea of a "new aesthetic," not in the sense of technology, but in the sense of changing the perception of beauty so that sustainable landscape design can also be seen and appreciated as beautiful.
