My name is Cora Díaz, I am a Latin American visual artist, originally from the Peruvian Amazonia, living between Mexico, Peru and Belgium.
I have earned different master and postgraduates degrees in drawing, engraving and painting from different educational centers such as École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre (Brussels, Belgium); Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (Belgium), among others.
I work nature with the lines and folds, because the union of these elements makes a bi-directional, continuous and dynamic movement between the infinite spaces of the microcosm and macrocosm.
The folds make a rhythmic movement of coming and going like the waves and show the continuity between the open and the closed, between the obvious and the hidden, between the continuous and the discontinuous.
Over the years, I have developed my artwork in series.
In all these series, my artwork evokes an impression of neatness due to the delicacy and meticulousness with which I reproduce and express my own analysis and synthesis of the natural world, resulting then into images with their own presence and eloquence.
