Catherine Désirée Fernandez

Catherine Désirée was born in 1975 in Geneva, Switzerland. She is of Spanish origin. 

Poet and visual artist, she published her first poetic and graphic novel, self-illustrated, in France in 2019. 

A multidisciplinary artist, she explores writing, translation, visual arts and performing arts. 

Situated in a supra-surrealist approach which combines automatic writing and subjective snapshots of the Jungian type, she secretly rekindles the flame of spirituality at the heart of her poetic, musical and transversal prose or her plastic, sound and dreamlike work.

She taught French and Swiss literature for more than twenty years at the Collège de Genève.
