Teela Misa DeLeón is a queer interdisciplinary artist working primarily with experimental large-format photography and alternative process printmaking. Their work attends to the image as a permeable surface, using single in-camera exposures to locate the threshold between document and dream, and explore the ways that meaning resists systems of containment. Rooted in patient and process-driven approaches, their images offer slow insistence on intuitive sensing and intentional encounters with the subtle rituals of seeing embedded in everyday life.

DeLeón holds an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and is based between Olympia and Seattle, Washington. Their work has been exhibited at venues throughout the Pacific Northwest and United States, including Solas Gallery, Actualize AiR, Photographic Center Northwest, Manifest Gallery, and Plaxall Gallery.
