LIVES AND WORKS
LIVES AND WORKS
Paola De Giovanni is a marbling artist, photographer and textile designer, graduate of the London College of Fashion, MA-Fashion Studies.
She creates limited editions of marbling/acrylic pouing art prints, fine art photographs of architectural details and flower photography with a twist.
During the global epidemic Paola taught herself marbling and acrylic pouring, she considers these techniques a form of active meditation: grounding, liberating and empowering.
Paola describes marbling as "painting on water", a mesmerising art technique that has endless potential to create unique and stunning art.
Talking about her creative practice Paola has this to say:”I believe in the importance of sharing one's creative journey, we often shy away from the opportunity to inspire others, unlock potentials and creativity, to me this is a shame and utter waste.
I always marvel at what other people see in my art and how they creatively reply to my work, something I find very rewarding because it validates my art and confirms that I don't work in vain, as an act of self indulgence.”
“To be creative is the best way to be connected with people, articulate my feelings, be grounded, focused and sane in this often complicated journey we call "life". I am also chronically inquisitive, I ask too many questions and when I discover a new art technique or idea, I set in motion a "domino" effect in the sense that one initial idea takes me to the next, and the next,...…
I like to portray whatever is ethereal, dreamy, and the often overlooked beauty of simple things. My motto is "Beauty and inspirations are everywhere" and my middle name is creative rebel”.
I am available for collaborations and commissions from interior designers, home stagers, art galleries and art buyers for the residential and hospitality sectors.
