Giovanni De Benedetto is a klecksography fine art artist.
During the last 12 years, he developed a specific technique based on klecksography (the art of making images starting from inkblots) with which he creates the Augmented Klecksography Paintings.
The process involves action painting, photography, and digital post-production, where the outcome speaks directly to the subconscious of the beholders, shaking them from the inside.
Starting from 2012 he took part in several solos and collective exhibitions with
his main project PREMATURE, exhibiting in cities like Venice, Paris, Miami
Beach, and Berlin.
In 2019, he was selected for the 4-month artist residency program at coGalleries
in Berlin which culminated with his first solo exhibition in the German capital at
the gallery located in Berlin-Mitte.
Furthermore, he was chosen by the fair director
Cristina Salmastrelli to be exhibited at the PULSE Art Fair in Miami
Beach during the Miami Art Week as part of The Next Generation of artists in
the contemporary panorama.
In 2020 De Benedetto received Honorable Mention from the IPA - Int'l Photography Awards, from the PX3 - Prix De La Photographie Paris, from the Neutral Density Wards, and he has been awarded as a Nominee in the prestigious 15th Annual Black and White Spider Awards, and Color Awards.
During the current year, he took part in the first Armenia Art Fair's Online Viewing Room curated by Mohamed Benhadj of Al-Tiba9, he exhibited at Haze Gallery in Berlin, and he will take part in Gradara Contemporanea, a collective exhibition curated by Matteo Sormani.
De Benedetto is represented by Matteo Sormani, CEO of Art-Preview Gallery.
De Benedetto is also featuring in several art magazines like Inside Art, Art Market Magazine, Dodho Magazine, and My Art Is Real. He was selected to be featured on the latest Al-Tiba9 Magazine ORIGINAL issue, other than being on the cover of the third issue with a 10 pages-article and an interview of him.
