Lara De Battista is an Italian landscape, documentary photographer and visual artist. After completing her high school studies at the Art High School, she attended the photography course at LABA - Libera Accademia di Belle Arti (Brescia, Italy) where she developed a passion for reportage photography and conceptual art. In 2023, she graduated with a thesis focused on the exploitation of the waters of the Piave River.
She has participated in various exhibitions, including “New Design 2018,” a national competition for art high schools, with a video centered on the themes of the UN’s 2030 Agenda, which was later exhibited in a dedicated area within the Venice Biennale in 2018.
In 2023, she participated in the collective exhibition "Espressioni di Luce," organized by the OpenRoad Association in Caravaggio (Bergamo, Italy), presenting a series of landscape photographs that reflect on the concept of the sublime and the grandeur of nature.
During her academic years, she worked, alongside other colleagues, on advertising projects for two Italian companies, curating images that respected the brand's vision and identity.
Through reportage, conceptual photography and visual artwork she focuses on the exploitation of natural resources, the impact these actions have on ecosystems, and the relationship between humans and nature, with the aim of raising awareness and stimulating reflection through visual art.
