I was born and raised in the heart of Brasil, Brasília - also known as the political center, full of corruption. This led me to see the world as a space of constant contradiction and maybe that’s why my favorite media is the dialogue. From music to installation, I always let the story I’m telling choose how it wants to be told but, officially, when I have to fill a survey, my occupation is photography as it is what I do for around 10 years now.
As a professional photographer,I had the chance to live random and amazing adventures: I registered the work that Brazil's Army does within the Amazon; I was part of a fraternal Brazilian community in which every inhabitant dedicate their lives in favor of spiritualism; I photographed a Peruvian painter known for his multiple homicides, and so on. Aside from audiovisual, all the other artistic work I perform - photography, music and drawing - were self-taught. What motivated me to practice all of them was the belief that I could enrich the nuances of my art by making it more intersectional, mixing types of media.
Currently based in Weimar, Germany, I’m doing my masters degree in Media Art and Design at Bauhaus, looking to find out what affection could mean to non-human forms of life. In 2022, I moved to Treviso, Italy, for an art residency at Fabrica and there I started my main research now on the Cerrado, the Brazilian savannah. Getting to know more about this biome - where I was born and raised - I want to investigate how the knowledge that the land has affects the people that lives there.
