... In order to release that energy and overcome the feelings of helplessness generated by my immobility I turned to my daughter’s art cabinet. And so, by nightfall, I discovered beauty in shapes, and joy in colors. This was summer 2008. From then on, painting became the crutch I lean on anytime something becomes unstable in my day to day life....that crutch as a key to a universe where I’m fine...I paint on canvas, using oil and acrylic paint, with a special technique of using sponges of different textures. Usually, the background of the painting is made with acrylic and using sponges; different layers of colors are applied in order to create that effect of microscopic image of any thought or feeling. The forms and shadows are made in oil using paint brushes. I don’t paint based on models or pictures, but I use real forms to symbolize feelings and emotions.I like to share the joy expressed as forms and colors in my paintings, to bring beauty and emotion in people's homes and lives.
