Having spent the first half of my life learning then running my engineering company I decided I need a job which gave me a reason for creating things not just profit and consumption. I wanted a job where people saw my work with their heart not their bank balance
I took a fine art degree course and right from the go started creating work which pleased me and mostly others who saw it, so I carry on just creating pieces which I either just want to see in 3D or that inspire me or give me joy, that way I don't have a job any more just creating sculpture with and for love.
My subjects are always informed by things I notice or imagine I have in the real world taking elements for several places to arrive at a project.
I get bored easily so rarely make more than a few of any of my pieces wanting to see that new one created.
