I was born in Peru on October 26, 1998. I grew up in a solid and loving family that always supports the decisions I have made. Most of my life I lived in Lima, the capital of the country, known as "The gray city". I consider that this type of climate influenced my taste in black and white photography, and I am encouraged to experiment with it.
From an early age I was fascinated by photography, but during my adolescence I put it aside completely. It was at the University of Lima, where I graduated as a communicator, where I rediscovered this passion. From there I began to take more and more photos of what surrounded me that contained an important meaning for me. I also write songs, and many of these paper thoughts are reflected in my works. Since I can remember, I have been on a relentless quest to find the nature of reality, so that I can understand it and live this experience called life to the fullest.
I consider myself the type of artist who uses art as a way of expressing the interior, my thoughts, my experiences, my lessons and feelings that represent who I am and the way I see the world. I see this process as something spiritual, that helps me connect with myself and the universal consciousness that has always existed. I use art as a bridge between the earthly knowledge of my experience and what is above all of us, in order to learn and improve as a person.
My technique consists of taking pictures of textures, objects or even unusual places, which normally go unnoticed or are simply not to the liking of the majority. These photos, often strange, broken or even unpleasant that nature and the hand of man offer us, provoke in my thoughts and sensations about past experiences in my life that I like to share with my audience. Most of my works are based on dualism, the struggle between light and darkness, for a long time this radical look marked my life and my perception of it. It is for this reason that I use a very high contrast, often taking it to the extreme of what black and white photography can offer. I am also intrigued and curious about the different dimensions that can exist, which is why I play a lot with the inversion of these tones, generating a multidimensional effect in the works. I believe that to know the nature of the universe, one must deeply explore the interior, in there lie all the answers as sensations.
