Dexter Cinco is a surrealist artist. She has been practicing the arts for more than 15
years now. Dexter was born and raised in Catubig, Northern Samar, and is currently a full-time
artist in Tagaytay City. Dexter is a humble recipient of the first ever International Donatello
Prize, which was held on January 21st, 2023, in Florence, Italy. and the Leonardo Da Vinci Prize
Award, held in Milan, Italy, on April 5, 2023. And the Michaelangelo International Prize Award in
Rome, Italy, in June 2023. She was also an active artist, joining different art
competitions, both local and international. In 2014, she won the national collage-making
contest during the National Science Quest.
In 2018, she won theINTERNATIONAL ROBOTICS OLYMPIAD PRE-LIMS 1st place in the poster-
making category. She also won the Special Citation in the Metrobank Art and Design
Painting category in 2023. She is also a semi-finalist in the GSIS, SHELL NSAC, and PADAYAN
NATIONAL POSTER MAKING CONTEST. She was also featured in various media outlets,
including the MANILA BULLETIN, PHILIPPINE STAR, ABS CBN, CNN PHILIPPINES, GMA NEWS,
ART PLUS MAGAZINE, PHILIPPINE DAILY INQUIRER, and others. Cinco is also active in
participating in different art exhibitions, both local and international, such as the International
Art Caravan, the Biennale in Cali, Columbia, Nuzen Art Gallery, Xavier Artfest, Aral Artist,
Artlover Philippines, Art Show Philippines, and many more.
In addition to this, Dexter Cinco received a resolution commending her in the field of arts from
the provincial capitol of Northern Samar. She was also given the Artist of the Year Award and
the Malikhain Award at Tagaytay City Science Integrated High School, where she took the arts
and design track. Today, she enjoys being a full-time artist, exploring every medium from
graphite to pastels, paint, and even digital. Serving her clients and helping her family along the
way, armed with her hands, brushes, pens, and
pencils, she continues to work hard, achieving her dream one step at a time.
