Julio
Cesar Cienfuegos currently does works with charcoal, acrylic, gouache, spray
paint, paper, canvas, metal and wood. He is a non-traditional student currently
in his second year of art and looking to transfer to a four-year college. The
main theme in his artwork is the idea of choices made at a particular point in
life that lead individuals from one place to another. He takes both an artistic
view and a sociological view of the world and the art he produces. His
inspiration comes from everyday interactions with people. Currently he has only
been involved in three shows; a solo show at Casa de la Cultura, a student
group show at LHUCA Art Gallery, and a group show at the London Art Biennale 2025.
He was also awarded outstanding art student for the 2024-2025 school year at
South Plains Junior College.
