Looking at Christophe Ausello’s paintings. The material of Christophe Ausello’s artwork, is the new world that he discovers day by day, year by year. Without any specific references to anything that exists, apart from any official painting code - neither figurative because they are fictional nor abstract because they are real - his paintings unveil his inner world, where signs abound, proliferate like insects letting their marks on plant residues , on first elements of life - the poet Henri Michaud used to call it “life in folds”. He’s surprised by his own production as his daily life struggled by difficulties and work, these signs reveal him a hidden treasure and covering the paper or the canvas gives him a tremendous joy. This joy he is sharing with us is a secret journey where we are invited. Thank you dear Christophe Ausello. J.M.G. Le Clezio, literature Novel Prize 2008, February 2018
