Ekaterina Chorina: A lyrical material artist in constant evolution

Ekaterina Chorina creates abstract and semi-abstract art with a poetic, subjective and emotive quality. For her the Lyrical Abstraction is an emotional experience. As a multi-material artist, she combines a variety of different and often unconventional materials and supports, bringing them new life.
She infuses her art with a poetic investigation of the world and the emotions, concerned with the exploration of ideas and status of mind.
Her artworks are always an invitation to communicate.
Ekaterina Chorina makes artworks that should make us think, feel and enjoy them visually, and not be repulsed or bored by them.
The intent of her art is to evoke feelings of essence and to connect to emotions.
The artist uses, just for example, old textiles and recycled paper, disused frames, broken ropes, feathers and sun-dried grass and flowers. Creating new from old , with a tactile quality that mimics the passage of time and, sometimes, of pain.
The texture in her art is not just a visual element, but an experience that engages, provokes, and delights.
Ekaterina Chorina is blending different art forms, painting, drawing, to create dynamic and visually attractive works.
Her message is fool of hope and rebirth, a Flower Power, that animates her inner world and which, it is hoped, can contribute to saving the entire world.
Ekaterina Chorina began her artistic journey at the Moscow Art School, an experience followed by open courses in painting techniques during her university studies in the linguistic field.
Of paramount importance was her time at the atelier of Oleg Ivanovich Andreiuk, a well-known Russian abstract and material painter, whose teachings are still an integral part of her artistic growing.
The latter found new lifeblood with the move to Italy, where Ekaterina Chorina has lived for over thirty years.

The Artist is very active with selected Solo and Group exhibitions in Italy and Europe.

Ekaterina Chorina crea arte astratta e semi-astratta con una qualità poetica, soggettiva ed emotiva. Per lei, l'Astrazione Lirica è un'esperienza emotiva. Come artista polimaterica, combina una varietà di materiali e supporti diversi e spesso non convenzionali, dando loro nuova vita.

L'artista utilizza, ad esempio, vecchi tessuti e carta riciclata, cornici dismesse, corde rotte, piume, erba e fiori essiccati al sole. Creare il nuovo dal vecchio, con una qualità tattile che imita il passare del tempo e, a volte, il dolore.

Ekaterina Chorina fonde diverse forme d'arte, pittura e disegno, per creare opere dinamiche e visivamente accattivanti.

Ekaterina Chorina ha iniziato il suo percorso artistico alla Moscow Art School, un'esperienza seguita da corsi aperti di tecniche pittoriche durante gli studi universitari in ambito linguistico.

Quest'ultimi hanno trovato nuova linfa vitale con il trasferimento in Italia, dove Ekaterina Chorina vive da oltre trent'anni.

L'artista è molto attiva con mostre personali e collettive selezionate, in Italia e in Europa.
