Ana Maria Chamucero (b.1997, Bogotá) is a Colombian visual artist. Her practice includes assemblages using everyday objects, drawings, photographic archives and performances. They often explore resourcefulness as an action that repeats itself endlessly. Hence, accumulating, classifying, and repeating are actions vital to her creative processes. Likewise, her practice often sheds light on seemingly fragile organic materials that make up highly resistant structures and relate to Colombian traditions and terrains.
In 2019, she completed her BFA at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. She has participated in exhibitions in Colombia and abroad, including the YICCA International Contest of Contemporary Art 2019 (Zagreb, Croatia), Young Art Prize 2020 (Bogotá, Colombia), Bienal On-line: Mês da videoarte 2021 (Curitiba Biennale, Brazil), and ARTBO | Artecámara 2021 (Bogotá, Colombia) amongst others. Most recently, her work was part of the Ukiha Denken Art Month 2023. (Ukiha, Japan).
