Maísa was born in Lisbon in 1987, where she lives and works. She attended the Faculty of Fine Arts (2011) and the artistic residency Mart (2014-2017), where she experimented with different aspects of her work, getting involved in collaborative projects with her peers. The guiding thread of her productions is the reflection of everything she sees, feels, thinks; all the experiences that - stroke by stroke - draw and compose her life. Through the potential of painting, Maísa seeks to follow a path of self-knowledge based on countless influences that marked her decisively: in the form, strength, vibrations, colors and themes of her works.
In 2015, Maísa took second place in the CRIARTE Contest - Urban Art Ideas launched by Barbot. In recent years, the artist has dedicated herself to exhibit individually and collectively, in addition to being involved in public and private projects. In 2020 the “Solidarity Quarantine” auction can be highlighted, alongside with Associação Salvador and Palácio do Correio Velho, in addition to the continuous collaboration with the Monarte brand with prints for various pieces of clothing. In 2019, Maísa bet on large-scale private orders, integrating luxury apartments; in 2018, she exhibited at Livraria Ler Devagar. In 2017: Devaneios oníricos at Casa Pau-Brasil; Paperworks IV at the Belo-Galsterer Gallery, in addition to the development of the Xutos e Pontapés wine label. In 2016: Between Phases at Espaço Andrade Corvo; Between Distance and the Present at Edge Group; and the creation of a mural at the El Clandestino restaurant, as well as the intervention in a bathroom at LX Factory. Today many of her works already belong to the private collections integrating PT Foundation, CCA Advogados, Edge-Group Espaço Amoreiras, AMI Foundation, Ex-Libris Building, Internacional Design Hotel, The House, Abreu Advogados, Galeria Opus 14, Rebelo De Sousa & Associados- Law Firm, Private Lawyers, PARTAC SGPS, Light blue apartaments.
