Katie Taras

Hi I'm an outsider artist specialized in watercolour, I love painting on board and paper and hope that you will all enjoy viewing my art. I was born in Canada and have spent my life traveling and getting an education in art in a rather unique way. Instead of sitting in classrooms I traveled and saw the best art galleries in the world and in different areas, guided by my mother and grandmother who are both painters and have a bachelor's in fine arts. Both of them taught me to paint and then encouraged me to find my own path, by finding Peggy Guggenheim I found an idol who invested and saved modern artist and brought it to the front and center of North America when it was thought of as useless. She taught me my way, no art is wrong. You just need to find what fits and improve. I will always strive for new techniques and better composition.
