I am a contemporary Italian artist of Russian origin, born in Moscow in 1992. After
graduating from the Moscow Academic Art College, I furthered my studies at the
Florence Academy of Fine Arts, followed by the Rome Academy of Fine Arts. Today,
I reside and work in Rome.
My artistic expression leans towards the figurative, applying the techniques of
classical painting but addressing modern-day themes. I am particularly intrigued by
the interplay between historic and contemporary artistic languages and the
innovative visual expressions that emerge from their intersection.
My creations delve into the human experience in our current society. I seek to
understand our place in an ever-evolving world, our self-perception, the social
environments we inhabit, and the nature of our interactions. Each artwork I create represents a personal reflection, embodying an open-ended
question in a visual. Through my art, I aim to give form to my insights and emotions,
fostering a dynamic interplay between perception and feelings.
A significant aspect of my work is the exploration of emotions, especially the
uncanny feeling that arises when the boundaries between the familiar and the
unfamiliar blur. When what was once known becomes foreign, and intimacy
suddently turns into distance. By situating this sense of the uncanny within a
contemporary symbolic framework, I allow my works to resonate differently with
each viewer, shaped by their unique cultural, visual, and personal memories
