MY STORY IN A NUTSHELL
After I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan, I started my working activity in the field of Fashion. In 1983 I registered to the National House of Fashion and I participated to the fashion shows of Milan Collections until 1993.
In the meanwhile, in 1990, I was invited to take part in a series of meet- ings as a professional and artist working in the field of Fashion during the events organized in occasion of the bicentenary of the foundation of the “KOH.I.NOOR HARDTMUTH”, together with the historic exhibition “La matita KOH.I.NOOR. 200 anni di vita”. The events were organized by Mi- lan town at the Trivulziana Library of Sforzesco Castle. Particularly, I was invited to hold a conference at the Artistic High School Boccioni with Victor Togliani for the illustration and Bruno Munari for the graphic design.
In 1991 I exhibited my works at Fortuny Palace in Venice, Italian pro- posals for a museum, and the name of my exhibition was ”L’abito oltre la moda”.
In 2004 I participated in the International Painting Exposition at Viscount Castle of Vogogna and I received the award ”Town of Vogogna” with the work “Il bosco al tappeto”, because of the ability to read reality in a substantially surreal key.
From 2010 my course change began, so I left the activity done until that moment to dedicate myself to the art, even if I still think that Art is Fashion and Fashion is Art. I am convinced that a cloth, which is a product of Fashion, can be a work of Art and can make you live a dream. Also in this year, with the sponsorship of Como town, I realized an art gallery titled ”Sdipingere”.
In 2015 I exhibited my works at the art gallery ”Virgilio Guidi ed Eni Energia” in San Donato Milanese with critical texts from Laura Pariani, the title of the exposition was ”Pensiero Nomade”. Later, in the same year, I was invited to participate to the Biennial Exposition “Omnia”, curated by Culturale Liberamente Association, at Monferrato Palace in Alessandria.
In 2016 I participated in the exhibition ”Corto Circuito”, curated by Tiziana Pella, at the art gallery ST.ART. Space 04 Creative Workshops in Barasso.
In 2017 I exhibited my works at the Rotaros Art Gallery in Novara with the title ”Come un vestito”. The exhibition was curated by Rosaria Lubrano and critical texts were written by Laura Pariani and Liviano Papa.
Finally in 2021, my last exhibition with the title ”Pensiero Nomade” was organized by ”Il Mondo del vetro” in the space in Via Cappellini 20 in Milan and curated by Ilenia Balestrini.
FREE THOUGHTS
Fashion is Art and Art is Fashion: I am convinced that a cloth, which is a product of Fashion, can be a work of Art and can make you live a dream.
I would like to think that my painting strikes immediately, not for its meaning, therefore I always try not to put the message in the foreground, but the visual quality of the work. The cloth for the body, the painting and the sculpture for the place.
