Casagranda

The German-Italian artist Patrizia Casagranda was born in Stuttgart in 1979. Today she lives and works in Krefeld, the Netherlands and India.

Already in her youth she was a student of the painter Thomas Friedemann Dürr in Stuttgart (1994-1996).

In 2002 she completed her design studies at the FH Niederrhein with distinction and then attended the painting academies in Nice, Ravensburg and Trier. After changing jobs as a graphic designer (e.g. for Günther Uecker and Markus Lüpertz) she has been working as a freelance artist since 2015.

Casagranda lives and works two to three times a year in India in an artists' cooperative. It was there that she found the inspiration for her portrait series ''Diversity''.
