After graduating from Kingston University with a BA honours in furniture and product design, Juliet was invited to work at the JG studios as a junior designer and studio assistant. Delving into multiple projects and guided by Johnny and the team Juliet learned first-hand the intricacies of bespoke design and the true meaning of 'form follows function'. The call of the bright lights of London and an offer of a job in a theatre and set build production company persuaded Juliet to leave the JG studios but made multiple returns back to Johnny's as Studio manager and support for the team. In between bursts of work at the studios, Juliet took up a role as a PM at AV company Luxor and Cairo on two new Egyptian museums and also at events companies in London working on prestigious events for the rich and famous.Meanwhile in the background Juliet was honing her crafting skills and initiated a start up company; Paperpoms UK - the only maker and seller of paper pom pom flowers in the UK. The company was literally an overnight success and has been Juliet's main employment since 2009. Extending into creative prop making and a multi disciplinary design practice making beautiful flowers and bespoke elements for Harrods, Madonna and the queen Elizabeth ii, Burberry and Dior to name a few.Owning her own business allowed her to balance being a mum and business owner. Her son's experience in Juliet"s workshop from a babe in arms has allowed him to also flourish creatively. Her son's first word was pompom and he is now also a very creative young pre teen, whose artwork has been proudly shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Juliet's fiancé works in the Paperpoms team making the props and offering business support to keep the company fresh and exciting.
