Daniela Caravita was born in Ravenna and here her artistic path takes place, which moves from the marvelous and patient slowness of the artistic mosaic language to reach the most immediate message of pictorial art. Oil painting allows her to express a narrative that evokes the experiences of remote people and lands, whose stories are the symbol of a space-time cyclicality that envelops us and makes us partakers of the natural things of the world. Color is the primary element in his canvases: in the first paintings he confronts the emotional power of expressionism, turning his gaze to the chromatic contrasts of the Byzantine pictor musivarius. Subsequently he elaborates a mode of representation that moves further and further away from traditional clichés to reach a sort of formal deformation that satisfies the need to link form to content.
