Marcela Cairoli was born in 1967 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She began her foray into the arts on a trip to Barcelona
where she became fascinated with the work of Antoni Gaudí who inspired her to
immerse herself through tiles, mirrors and glass, in the trencadís technique.
He trained in a Mosaic workshop with Marina Brusadin. As a result, he created
sculptures, paintings and facades with high visual and aesthetic impact. He
trained at the National University of the Arts between 2019 and 2024 where he
specialized in painting, with his teachers being artists such as Juan Astica
and Carlos Baragli. He participated in the Belen Romero Gunset artist clinic.
Since 2018 he has held numerous individual and group exhibitions in the city of
Buenos Aires. In addition to the mosaic technique inspired by Catalan
modernism, another of his favorite materials is acrylic on canvas.
Her previous training in the arts is related to Law and
Communication: she is a lawyer (UBA, 1990) and a journalist (TEA, 1999).
