Nartelia (a pseudonym derived from Natalia + art) is a journey of search and personal interpretation.
I have been passionate about drawing and painting since childhood, developing my artistic abilities in a self-taught manner. Later, I pursued formal studies in Fine Arts at the Miguel Hernández Faculty in Altea, marking a turning point in my creative journey, following my previous academic background in Economics and Business. During my time in Altea, I explored new forms of artistic expression and became involved with the Pintoras de Benidorm group, enriching my artistic perspective.
My latest body of work, Other Worlds, explores imaginary universes through a fusion of traditional and digital media. Using watercolor and graphite techniques, I create expressive, fluid elements that are digitized and assembled into collages, printed on canvas in limited series.
The central theme revolves around dreamlike, fantastical worlds—represented by planets rich in color, nuance, and texture. Each planet is unique, yet harmonious with the others. Trees emerge as co-stars, offering shelter to enigmatic, time-suspended figures. The phrase "There are other worlds, but they are in this one" encapsulates the philosophical thread running through the series: a reflection on our place within the many worlds we inhabit—not only the physical world, but also the imagined, desired, and feared realms within our minds.
Each work serves as an open invitation to the viewer, allowing them to interpret the piece through their own experience and emotions. Rather than dictating meaning, my aim is to evoke wonder, introspection, and connection.
