Fascinated by mythology, symbolism and archetypes, the artist Anette Bundschuh creates picture worlds of archaic universality, multi-layered, full of symbols. Collectors know and appreciate the unmistakable signature and expressive application of color - often deliberately chosen for their iconographic symbolism. Signs whose meaning can be guessed and recognized in the origin of collective memory.
Mystery men, mystery woman, in fine facets Anette Bundschuh traces the layers and secrets of life and brings them in a gestural-passionate style onto the medium of canvas. Her figures inspire the longing and desire in world theatre in series of works with titles such as "The search for happiness. Gold ground", "Mysteries of Life" or "Archetypes" on canvases in special formats such as Tondi or unusual longitudinal formats. Her screens are works of art of staging in space, accomplices of hiding and concealment, of sensuality, mysterious backdrops to unfold, protect and change.
Bright colours attract all eyes. In pausing and inwardly perceiving, the viewer delves deep into the mystery beyond the visible. Attentive in dealing with others, full of respect and curiosity for the otherness and diversity of people, Anette Bundschuh says: "The person who is sitting opposite me at the moment is the most important one for me". Her empathy and excellent powers of observation create figures and scenes that touch deeply.
