Melanee “Mel” Brown is a visual creative from Houston, TX. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA where she will obtain her MFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Her creativity is grounded in capturing people of color in various community settings. It is her belief that when photographing people in everyday life situations, you see their true essence. Her focus on family dynamics and fashion is documented through photography, videography and writing. These aspects of her artistic vision can be seen displayed in various exhibitions and brand campaigns including Atlanta Photography Group, Houston Center for Photography, and KODAK Professionals. Melanee's main goal in this creative space is to inspire her community through celebratory images.
