Mario Breda was born in Milan in 1962, and now lives and works in Bologna. He is an established graphic designer, illustrator and cartoonist recognized in the Italian art scene. He teach scenography at the animation courses of the Comics School of Reggio Emilia since 2013 he has been .
He has collaborated on several TV series Ratman: Rahan: Red caps: Teen Days: Tea Sister: also and created the images for the animations into documentary “Art backstage” for Si Produzioni and Maxman Coop, presented at the Biografilm festival in Bologna. As illustrator he has worked, among other brands, for Tim, Siemens, Unipol, Lipton, Colomer Italy and then published numerous book covers worldwide.
In the last years he has begun to create a series of works, views of his city with streets full of people and movement, faces of known and unknown people, with a personal style that departs from the classic use of watercolor, with which he made his debut this year at the Art City Bologna 2025 exhibition
