I was born in Panama City on September 23, 1961, between the waters of the Atlantic and the Pacific, surrounded by the intense green of the jungle and the most icy shades of the turquoise blue of the rivers and rivers.
In 1987, I finished studying Electronic Engineering and introduced myself to the hobie of photography, growing my own equipment and laboratory and without realizing it became a passion for life.
By 1994, I was already working as a photographer and editor for La Estrella de Panamá where my passion for documentary, social and news photography was reflected in that newspaper.
By 1997, I emigrated with my wife to Tucson Arizona and continued with my passion and I got upset with the weecly newspaper Aguila, of Spanish language, until 1998 when the weekly closed operations, becoming a freelancer photographer and taxi driver, to support my family.
In 2000, my wife is hired by an international NGO and we moved to La Paz Baja California Sur, where she founded, together with a group of enthusiasts, the NGO Observers of America, dedicated to ¨promoting nature conservation as a strategy of survival of the human species¨ and we created the program of Radio Between Dunes and Foam, Take 8 on TV and the weekly The Word, all this between January 2000 to July 2008, when the family emigrates to the Dominican Republic.
In the Dominican Republic we continue to document nature and work as a freelancer of environmental news and photography, until 2011, when we return to the United States, this time to Miami Florida.
On this occasion we had to reinvent ourselves and I trained as a diving instructor and discovered the freedom that weightlessness produces, allowing you to literally fly in the water and dimension time and space as I had never experienced it before.
This caused a revolution in me, my conception of reality had varied, stationary time, universe and my senses, began to disassociate, to give impetus to something I did not quite understand, The alternative realities, all that lives together with us without that we can perceive it, all the fuzzy images that are generated with the turn of the head or when turned around surprised by the sound of a horn or an ambulance, are images that we cannot specify, much less remember.
The then sleeping camera again became relevant and resumed a photographic essay initiated in Mexico in 2008, which sought to capture the nahuatl (animal spirit) of the trees, but this time it was not just the trees, but all I had for ahead and it was then that Anti-Photography arises.
We moved again, this time to Berlin Germany, far from the sea and the refuge of known languages and anti-photography begins to take shape, idea and structure, the cold winter of 2015, allows us to refine the technique and for the 29 of September 2018 we exhibited at The Fantom Gallery in Berlin Anti-Photography ¨The Secret Dimensions ".
In this we are committed today, to promote, develop and base anti-photography as a subgenre of photography and as an indelible mark of the advancement of art, beyond the deep human perception, which today governs the concepts of reality.
I hope we travel together this path of adventure and controversy in a genre that I thought I saw everything.
