Artist Biography – Vanane BorianVanane Borian is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and cultural activist whose practice bridges art, design, and social engagement. Originally from Armenia and based between Armenia and Israel, she explores the intersections of contemporary culture, technology, and human experience through visual art, phygital installations, and cross-cultural collaborations.
Her work has been presented internationally at major platforms, including AKNEYE phygital space, during the 60th Venice Biennale (2024), PROYECTOR Moving Images Platform in Spain and Portugal (2025), the Haifa Museum of Art (Israel), and the LUMEN Festival in New York. In 2024 she was awarded the Cerebrum Award for Best Artist in Malta.
Beyond her artistic practice, Borian is the founder and director of DASEIN Magazine, an independent cultural publication supported by Creative Europe and AGBU, which fosters dialogue between Armenian and international artists. She is also a published researcher on art-science intersections, with academic articles in international journals, and has served as a juror for Apexart’s Open Call in New York.
Through her work, Borian seeks to create spaces of reflection, innovation, and cultural exchange, positioning her practice at the crossroads of creativity, research, and activism.
