I was born in a handicapped family as the oldest child
of my hearingly impaired parents. I spent my youth through the turbulent
historical times of my home country Hungary changing from communism to wild
capitalism. Being an idealist and conforming to my grandma’s wishes I went to
medical school and worked as an obstetrician and gynaecologist for four years.
Turning 30 I decided to give up my profession and become a professional artist.
I started my education in New York in the Art Students League and the School of
Visual Arts (SVA) an carried on at the Fine Arts Academy in Budapest.
Currently I reside in a large studio complex called
Budapest Art Factory (http://www.budapestartfactory.com) and
live the crazy life of professional painters with two daughters. I work with a
German gallery ’Art Affair’ from Regensburg, taking part in artfairs. This
March I had my first solo show in Germany. I regularly exhibit in Barcelona in
MEAM (Museu Europeu d’Art Moderrne) which gives place to the most important
exhibitions in the world of figurative art. This year I take part in the group
show ’MEAM Hall III.’. I love competitions, and many times reach success.
This January I was finalist in the 16th International
Salon Competition in New York, after that my painting was featured in the
March/April issue of the renown american Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. In 2021
in the international Modportrait portrait competition of the MEAM Barcelona I
was chosen among the top 400 portrait painters globally. I also exhibited in
Switzerland at Volta Basel with Lena Roselli Gallery (Hungary) during the event
’Hungarian days’.
As a mid-carrier female artist after winning the 2023
Scholarship and International Exhibition Award of the Visual Artists
Association, in October I will take part in a group show in London, and also as
the finalist of the NTDTV International Figure Painting Competition will
exhibit in the New York Salmagundi Club.
