My name is Héloïse Blachier an I am 30 year-old french designer, born and raised in Charente Maritime. I studied product design for 5 years, including 2 years in Marseille on industrial design training. (BTS Design de Produit). This educational establishment gave me a strong knowledge of the industrial process.
I then joined l’Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique in 2014 and spent one year in an international class in order to get ready for a 2 years Master Degree. My goal was to join the unique class in transcultural design in China which was my main to experience design in a completely new environment. I had the chance to do so and undertook two internships in China, one in Zhangzhou, south of China, in 2016 in a chinese furniture factory and another in 2017 at Cent Degres in Shanghai, a company specialized in the creation of cosmetic products for chinese brands. With these experiences, I conffronted myself to the heart of fast production, and came back to France with real questions about all the processes needed to create a cheap and fast product design.
Back in France I worked for “Somexing” a studio working for Chinese clients looking to in the French trend. “Somexing” also helps both Chinese and French artists to work with brands and give unique design collaborations.
The covid was a very creative time for me and I was thinking about the way I wanted to create. Idiscovered a french brand using recycled plastics from old electronic devices. I did some tests and research and created her first collection of mirrors. I exhibited her collection at the Paris Design Week in 2022. In 2023 I created the first design event of La Rochelle during France Design Week and exhibited with other french designers. During this year I have been chosen by the Mobilier National for the acquisition program. Since this year I'm considered as a member of the French arts and crafts chamber.I havea special status of disabled worker. I show through her ambitions and project that my fragility is a source of pride and creativity.
