Laura Bittner, born and raised in Germany, spent 2 years living in California after Highschool graduation and has traveled to over 20 countries during her competitive time as a horse back rider and her career as a model, actress and now singer. She just released her first songs and was part of a television show.
Stepping into adulthood she began with abstract paintings and drawings of feminine figures.
"no one knows my house is flying"
Asking myself if I could fly away from materialism - knowing I cannot because I may live a materialistic experience of life, but still sometimes I fly away like a bird and that’s why “no one knows my house is flying” because my house is my headspace, where I create everything I am.
I am not channeling my creative concentration on just one specific expression or impression.
You can compare my creative journey -while creating a piece of art -with a day at the beach with low and high tide. Thoughts are flowing trough my headspace. There will be times with big waves of emotions and a lot of sunshine and times with darkness and a calm surfaces of the water. With low tide the chaos of waves and light can sort itself out. You will find figures and objects.
I like to draw what is deep inside of me. Like I am in my subconscious mind in some sort of meditation. It’s a state of mind that is driven by creative intuition.
We as human beings have to deal a lot with our bodies, physically and mentally. Our body is our home.
Sometimes when i am at the beach I just look up to the sky and back to the horizon again- I see water sparkling. A free mind a free soul and everything becomes one. I connect with the ocean and let myself truly be myself. When I do art I feel connected to my inner child, who I hopefully always will keep alive.
On the contrary I also feel really grown up further advanced because I manage to create an object and an impression and feeling without any words. Just with my hands, my pen or brush.
My work talks about deep human experiences, issues about life, sexuality and a modern world with its conflicts and so much more. Pretty much everything what you can see, hear, smell and feel.
