Stephanie Bing graduates at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz. On her numerous journeys around the world, which she photographically documents, and whose ultimate goal is to to have really experienced every Continent and mostly every country.
I put my high school diploma in the girls high school 1987 monastery "unserer lieben Frau" in Offenburg, Germany with 2 special prices for best graduating. 1987 I began the study of the Visual Arts, art history, and German language and literature at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and 1994 completed this with the 1.Staatsexamen and the final grade of 1.5. The 2.Staatsexamen graduated 1998 in Fürth with 1.56 and worked until 2002 as a study Counsellor for the Bavarian Ministry of culture in collaboration with the Academy of fine arts in Munich and the Bavarian Chamber of architects. My priorities: prevention of Visual illiteracy, aesthetic perception, design, architecture and digital media.
Bing shows us her broad artistic tension while enjoying regular stays in the Balearic Islands and in the Caribbean, as well as around the world, inspired by the southern light and color. She faces her observations and impressions in small Interior images literally metabolised: she composes artefacts, photos, sea creatures, plants, impressions from art history to a new spatial structure.
The extremely detailed paintings, with its tapestry-like designs reminiscent of Matisse, to Bonnard. Everything is playful, ambiguous and multi-layered. She loves variations within a topic and she is using picture quotes in her interior paintings.
She shows her work since 1991 in national and international art exhibitions.
