My name is Grażyna Bieniasz, I’m an artist,
teacher, instructor and therapist operating in Poland. I create
mainly in materials such as glass and ceramics.
I’m a graduate of Państwowe Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych in Dąbrowa Górnicza, specialty in art glass and a graduate of Akademia Sztuk Plastycznych in Wrocław in the faculty of Ceramics and Glass in the field of glass design. I work at various jobs like: designer, glass and ceramics artist and an educator in Art Glass Workshop and an instructor in Workshop of Glass, Ceramics and Drawing and an art therapist and therapist Sensory Integration. I create mainly in glass and ceramics.
I work with people of all ages on a daily
basis. From three-year-old children to mature adults.
I’m also an exhibition organizer and curator. I also participate in exhibitions, competitions and artistic projects.
I think the time has come, my time, when I
should think about myself and focus on my artistic activities.
Different stages intertwine in a person's life. When they feel
fulfilled in some values of life, they start to think more
about others. I love creating, giving others my inspirations enclosed
in beautiful, although heavy, laborious, difficult and time-consuming
glass, ceramic, painting and stained glass techniques combined with
each other.
My son sometimes laughs at me: "When you
grow up, you'll be an artist." I've been an artist for many
years. I'm an artist in my own area. Now that I've done many
important things in my life, maybe it's finally time to be an artist
not only close by. Maybe thanks to technology, the possibilities that
give a different range of activity, I'll have a chance to share my
work with a larger group, I'll have a chance to present my thoughts
related to nature, ecology, human life, but also the use of mixed
techniques in an original combination that I haven't seen in other
artists yet.
I feel fulfilled as a parent, teacher,
therapist, and even as an artist - but known only to a narrow group
of recipients in my region. I would like to check if my works are
understandable in other regions or countries? Do they appeal not only
to ordinary recipients, but also whether and how my work is received
by world art critics?
I would like to go beyond the region, beyond
Poland, with the presentation of my works. My functional and
decorative works such as platters, candlesticks or small elements of
interior decoration have been functioning in other parts of the world
for some time now. However, my artistic works, paintings have not yet
seen the wider world. I plan to continue to develop artistically,
creatively. I have many ideas and inspirations. I am learning new
techniques, which I would also like to sometimes include in the
creation of my works. I would like to share my works and my thoughts
with a wider group of recipients.
