Dariusz Biegaj - Fine artist, designer who graduated from the Academy of Fine
Arts in Krakow in 1988 under the supervision of professor R. Otreba specialising
in Visual Communication Design. Before that, he completed his education at the High
School of Fine Arts in Bielsko Biala. During his studies, he received recognition
in various poster competitions, organised his own poster exhibition as well as
displayed his student artworks in Poland and abroad. Since then, he has been
fully dedicated to 'pure and applied' art. He set up a private design company and promoted his designs during multiple interior design
exhibitions in Poznan, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. He has also been involved in
restoration works in Poland, Sweden and Slovakia, whilst his paintings have
been displayed in Poland, Austria and the USA. From 2006, he has lived and worked in
Stockholm and London, however more recently Niepolomice became his
home and place of work. In his paintings, he mainly captures nature,
architecture and people. Acrylic and oil on canvas are his favourite
techniques. His artworks are currently part of collections in Poland, Austria, Belgium, the
United Kingdom, Hungary and the USA and he collaborates with art galleries
in Poland and abroad.
