Born in January 30th 1993, Betty Mariani is a french self-taugh artist. Fascinated by artist such as Basquiat, Egon Shiele or Picasso she can also find inspiration in HopHop culture with rap music, graffiti, street art or streetwear. Her taste for contemporary and urban arts will be decisive for her practice. Mariani expresses herself though canvas teeming with détails where drawing, painting and collage coexist. She deconstructing the image by linked to the colors places directly on the canvas and reworked with bare hands, offfer a brutal and lively appaerance to her works. Her universe, rich in bright colours, distorded, twisted and decontructed characters, offers a poetic, dynamic and sometimes violent achievements. In 2016, her first solo exhibition took place, the same year she has her first live painting at le Batofar of Paris, and her first festival at the Eiffel Tower a few weeks later. In 2017, she was selected by the luxury fashion brand Christian Dior for the second edition of Dior Lady Art, where , the only french artist of the editon, made an unique bag in limited edition among 9 other international artists. In 2018, she created a painting for the new album cover of the french rapper 4SANG.
